GMC has updated its Acadia SUV for 2020. Visually, the Acadia stands out more than it did before thanks to a tougher face that better matches GMC’s truck-oriented marketing. The Acadia’s outdated six-speed automatic is also gone, replaced with a new nine-speed unit that promises better acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. GMC has added a new optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine that should provide similar benefits compared to the base four-cylinder engine. The 3.6-liter V6 engine is still around.
Very nice comfortable drive. It is quite and smooth and has plenty of power. The folding seats are easy to manage and there is plenty of room for my 6’1” frame. The transmission is smooth and quiet and it handles nice around town and on the highway. The BOSE sound system is really nice. Incredible quality. Only complaint is the STOP/START feature. Forces me to either use it or manually turn it off every time I drive. Should have a way to turn it off and leave it off instead of having to do this every time you start the vehicle.
This is not the vehicle I was guiding my wife towards. She test drove many more vehicles than we ordinarily would before she took a drive in the 2020 GMC Acadia and it was a done deal (…) This one has the quiet and smooth ride of a BIG vehicle but gives my wife the real life benefit of a nimble vehicle easy to dive in a parking lot. We don’t expect to use the rear seating often and second row seating is very comfortable so it is a good match for us as we like to put our three dog
